Registered Nurse

Job Description

The Registered Nurse performs comprehensive assessments to determine the health status of  residents, including a complete health history and current needs assessment.  The comprehensive assessment includes collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data to establish a health status baseline, plan of care, or to address changes in a resident’s condition.    Performs focused and on-going assessments to determine the response to nursing interventions and to identify any emerging problems.   Coordinates with health care team to develop or modify comprehensive resident centered health care plans.  Attends and provides input at Resident Care Conferences as needed.  Communicates significant occurrences and changes in resident condition to the nursing office, physicians and resident families.  Also responsible for initiating and/or supervising orders as required.  Administers medications and treatments to residents.  Monitors vital signs and performs other direct resident care duties requiring a license.  Completes required reports and forms such as MDS, quarterly review, care plans, pertinent data, and maintains accurate medical charts.  Responsible to the Director of Nursing or designee and may direct other care partners on nursing neighborhood and be assigned as Charge Nurse.  Communicates with, works with and relates to residents, their families, and other care partners.

Full-time.  (Positions available in the Kahului and Wailuku Campuses).

 

Job Requirements

Valid Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license and CPR/First Aide required.   No previous nursing experience required.  Must be able to move freely about and push or lift 50 lbs or more safely.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule including working weekends and holidays and variable shifts.

 

Compensation

 

Union Start Wages: $34.89/hr. (dependent upon nursing education and relevant work experience).  Job Rate is $36.73/hr.
