Without proper diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment, recovery from an accident or illness can be a slow process. Rehab by Hale Makua is designed to help clients successfully recover from an injury or illness. Recovering function so that clients can return home to live out their active lives is always our goal.

Services Provided:

• Physical Therapy: Promoting strength, flexibility, and return to independent ambulation
• Occupational Therapy: Promoting independent living skills
• Speech Pathology: Restoring communication and swallowing abilities
• Hand Therapy: Management of upper-extremity impairments, including splinting and post-op care

  Service Rates:
  The cost of your therapy will depend upon the services you need. Hale Makua Health Services is certified by Medicare, and can therefore bill Medicare Part B/HMSA 65C+ for therapy services. With a physician-ordered treatment plan and a skilled need for ongoing treatment, Medicare Part B may pay for 80% of outpatient therapy charges. If you do not have a secondary insurer to cover the remaining 20%, a copayment will apply. Other types of insurance may cover therapy services if prior authorization from your carrier is obtained. Private pay is also an option. Hale Makua Health Services staff will work with you to verify coverage and ensure proper billing.
