Brunch for the Mamas Event

For the first time, Hale Makua held a “Brunch for the Mamas” Mother’s Day event. The event was held at the King Kamehameha Golf Club on Sunday, May 8th, 2022. Guests were entertained by the hilarious Alakai Paleka who hosted the event, Ahumanu performed local favorites, and honored guests included Mayor Victorino and his wife Jocelyn.
Local vendors were onsite for guests to shop which included Mana Up Hawaii, For the Love of Plants Hawaii, Think Mink, and Remedy Studio Maui. Vendors also donated raffle prizes, and other goods were donated for the event from Roselani Ice Cream, Ku’ia Maui Chocolate, and Kahului Florist.
The event was a wonderful example of Maui’s tight knit community coming together to celebrate ‘ohana, support local businesses, and give back to the community. Proceeds from ticket sales went towards helping Hale Makua continue its mission of providing compassionate care for its residents.
