Henry Hits It Big in Bingo

Henry Kaina is a long time resident of Wailuku and if you know him, you know he’s a bingo lover! You can find him at any bingo game playing along with fellow residents and friends! But one thing you might not know about Henry, is his desire to create his own customized bingo cards. He goes into the Wailuku Administrative office where care partner Temmie Lagazo helps him create his own custom cards. He points to the number he wants in each box and Temmie creates the cards on the computer for him. It may not seem like a big deal, but to him, it’s one of those simple pleasures in life that goes a long way! And if you ask Henry, he’ll agree that he thinks he’s been winning more often since he's been selecting his own numbers!
This demonstrates Eden Alternative Principle 6: Meaningless activity corrodes the human spirit. The opportunity to do things that we find meaningful is essential to human health.
