Lei Day Love

Many thanks to the Hawaiian Airlines Maui managers who visited Hale Makua Kahului on May Day to spread the aloha and celebrate May Day by bringing lei, cake and punch. Each year Hawaiian Airlines picks an organization on each island to recognize volunteers on Lei Day, May 1st, and "share aloha with those who spread aloha everyday". We were fortunate to have been picked as this year's organization on Maui. In addition to volunteers, residents were especialy surprised to be presented with beautiful lei and thanked for their continuous effort to spread aloha.
The team of Hawaiian Airlines employees noticed that one of our residents was also celebrating his brithday on Lei Day. Needless to say he was tickled by the group crowding into his room to wish him well and sing "Happy Birthday" to him.
