Mahalo for the Community Support

Missy_mask3

Amid these difficult times, we are witnessing a powerful wave of support from our community. We have been receiving donations from all over, ranging from food and flowers to face masks.

Employees received soup donated by Hui No Ke Ola Pono, shortbread cookies sent by Big Island Candies in partnership with UPS, and 960 gallons of milk from Hawaii Food Service Alliance. We also received a generous donation of 936 orchid plants from Sunshine Orchids of Maui to share with employees and residents (click for full article). With the shortage of personal protective equipment, organizations like 4-H, Maui Face Mask Fund, University of Hawaii Maui College Fashion Technology, community members, employees, and even residents (like Ms. Ampong pictured above) have taken personal time out to make and donate handmade face masks to protect our staff.

We are thankful to those who through thoughtful donations have shown support to our hardworking staff and love and kindness to our residents. We are still accepting donations of personal protective equipment (PPE). Please contact the Office of Development at (808) 871-9271 to make a donation, or you can make a monetary donation by clicking here.
